Every star classified conference center is a member of the Danish trade association for hotels, restaurants and tourism, HORESTA.
All conference centers are inspected every 24th month, to ensure that they continue to meet the requirements of the current classification.
Conference centers without overnight accommodation can also be classified.
Classification of conference facilities in the HORESTA is voluntary, although for a business to have its conference facilities classified, it must be classified either as a hotel in the HORESTA system and must have gained at least three stars in the scheme.
The classification of conference facilities comprises three categories: 3, 4 and 5 stars. The stars are illustrated by a diploma, which must be displayed in proximity to the conference facilities.

The business offers meeting rooms, which are furnished for the purpose. All meeting rooms have mechanical ventilation, efficient black out curtains and internet access. Tables with surfaces suitable for writing. Chairs suitable for the purpose. Projection screen, whiteboard, flip-over and overhead projector.
The business offers meeting rooms, which do not have dual purpose such as restaurant. Adjustable ceiling lights and the possibility of LCD projector. Group rooms furnished for the purpose.
The business offers air-condition in all meeting rooms, permanent LCD projector and Wi-FI. Meeting setup on tables. A separate and permanent conference secretariat that is professionally staffed. Separate room for conference guests with relevant and contemporary software, color printer, scanner and internet access. Possibility of video conferencing.
